 We believe in balance. Neither of us claims to be  100% raw or 100% vegan. However, we believe that  a diet rich in at least 80% of these foods will  dramatically shift your health and energy levels… it  did for us and for so many of our clients. Don’t worry  about being perfect, but listen to your body. We  recommend diving into these foods and learning  everything you can. Then once you become more in  tune with your body and its needs, you will be able to  decide what works for you. In the meantime, let us  guide and help you. We live in a society surrounded by toxins. They come  out of car exhaust pipes and intoour lungs. They seep  into our water and into our bloodstreams. Then we  eat processed dead foods that further burden the  body. When our bodies are saturated with toxins we  become susceptible or even likely candi dates for diseases such as cancer. And because toxins are stored in fat cells, the only way to get rid of them is through seasonal/ regular cleansing via whole foods. Many natural, unadulterated foods from the earth actually act as binders, so that when they are eaten, they attach themselves to pollutants (such as heavy metals) and pull the toxins out of the body. There are two parts of cleansing—one is to get the good foods and nutrients into your body and bloodstream. The second is to pull the toxins and bad foods out of your body and out of your bloodstream. After all of our combined research, we have believe that consuming and cleansing with raw foods and cooked vegan foods is the most efficient means of maintaining maximum health.

Why We Like it in the Raw… “Get the Glow”…

Raw foods are super nutrient dense because they are uncooked, by definition. When you cook a food past a certain temperature (118 degrees), the nutrients, vitamins and minerals are jeopardized and many are killed. By using primarily raw foods, you allow your body to be saturated with an abundant amount of nutrients, cleansing the body from the inside out. In this cleanse we use raw and vegan foods instead of fasting—which we don’t like because it deprives the body of nutrients and destroys your metabolism by holding onto stored fats for fear that your body is being starved (um, which it is!) Fasting merely produces a state of nutrition deficiency, thereby preventing your body from running efficiently. Macronutrients (fats, carbohydrates and proteins) and micronutrients (vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients) are required for daily operations in the body. If you deprive yourself of them through fasting or improper daily intake of whole foods, your brain, liver, heart, muscles, nervous system, digestive system and immune system will not work properly. Raw and living foods naturally support proper digestion and a high functioning immune system due to their high level of enzymes. The human body requires enzymes to break down food and allow the nutrients to be distributed to different zones of the body. While humans naturally produce enzymes in the body, toxicity and deficiency can deplete them. Raw foods are also high in antioxidants and phytonutrients, which have been shown to help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain cancers. Current research is also showing these micronutrients to aid in the slowing of aging and promotion of brain function.

The Benefits of Vegan Foods

A vegan diet is basically a vegetarian diet that excludes dairy and eggs (no animal products).
